This February we’re selling our amazing Earth Elixirs range of biochar composts at local markets and gardening events. Please come along and say hello, if you can. Even better, please come and buy some of our super-charged compost – which is going to be specially discounted at these events!

The winter drizzle might seem never-ending, but spring is on its way and it really is time to start thinking about planting. The Earth Elixirs range is just the thing to make your garden flourish, because it contains biochar – a special kind of charcoal that boosts soil fertility, maximises plant health and increases crop yields. The addition of a unique blend of biodynamic compost improvers makes it even more potent.

Here’s where we’re going to be:

• Saturday 3 February (10am to 3pm): Seedy Saturday, Lewes Town Hall, High Street, Lewes BN7 2QS
• Sunday 4 February (10.30 to 4pm): Seedy Sunday, BHASVIC Sixth Form College, 205 Dyke Road, Hove BN3 6EG
• Saturday 10 February, (9am to 2pm): Royal Tunbridge Wells Farmers’ Market, Civic Way (outside the Town Hall)
• Saturday 17 February (9am to 12.30pm): Heathfield Farmers’ market, Co-op car park, 110 High Street, Heathfield TN21 8JD

And here are the products from the Earth Elixirs range that will be on sale:

• Compost Accelerator and Soil Conditioner (3kg tub) – was £9.99, now only £6.99 This is our standard product, which can be used throughout the garden all year round. You can put it directly into your soil by digging it into existing flower or plant beds. Alternatively, it can be added to your compost to enrich it.
• Seed Compost Activator (1kg tube) – was £7.99, now only £5.99 This special blend has been created to enhance seed growth. To use it, you soak it thoroughly with water and allow seven days to inoculate. Then you mix it with your existing seed compost – using approximately one part activator to five parts compost. Place into seed pots or rows and sow directly.
• Tree Support Compost (3kg tub) – was £9.99, now only £6.99 If you’re planting trees or have trees in your garden requiring some love and care, then this is the product for you. You simply place this compost beneath new trees you are planting – or around the base of existing trees. Cover with mulch and water thoroughly.

We’re hoping to gain as much customer feedback on these composts as we can – so we can launch the Earth Elixirs range properly this spring. Look out for further updates soon!
