Important information for visitors

Vehicle access to Sacred Earth is via prior arrangement only. We ask day visitors and workshop attendees to use our main visitor entrance on the Cuckoo Trail which is a pleasant 20 minute walk from Horam car park. Full details available here »

Directions (direct vehicle access only)

Sacred Earth is located at Old Horam Brickworks, North Corner, Horam, Heathfield, TN21 9HJ

From LONDON Centre and the West

  1. Going south on the M23 exit at Junction 10
  2. Join the A264 to East Grinstead
  3. Turn right onto the A22
  4. Follow A22 almost to Uckfield, taking East Grinstead bypass.
  5. Follow signs to Heathfield A272 (at two successive roundabouts)
  6. At T-Junction Joining A267 – Go right to Heathfield
  7. Just after Cross-in-HandFork right keeping on A267 to Horam, 3 miles (also signposted Hailsham/Eastbourne)
  8. At Horam pass a few shops on left and then just after you go up a slight rise take next left onto Horebeech lane, opposite cider factory
  9. Go to Horebeech lane directions

From LONDON East

  1. Find your way to the M25 and exit at junction 5 onto the A21 past Sevenoaks
  2. Before Tunbridge wells, take A26 through Southborough
  3. Turn right off of the A26, at bottom of hill, onto the A267 to Heathfield
  4. Just after Cross-in-HandFork right keeping on A267 to Horam, 3 miles (also signposted Hailsham/Eastbourne)
  5. At Horam pass a few shops on left and just after you go up slight rise take next left ontoHorebeech lane, opposite cider factory
  6. Go to Horebeech lane directions

From LEWES & the A27

  1. Travelling East on the A27 turn left (2nd exit for Lewes) onto the A26
  2. Go through the Culfail tunnel and then turn right at the roundabout continuing on A26 towards Uckfield
  3. At the top of the hill fork right onto the B2192 to Ringmer
  4. After Ringmer, fork right onto the B2124 towards Hailsham/Eastbourne
  5. Continue for about 4 miles and then turn right onto the A22 toward Eastbourne
  6. Continue for 3 miles until you get to a roundabout and take the first exit left onto the A267 toward Horam
  7. Just before Horam Turn right onto Horebeech lane
  8. Go to Horebeech lane directions

By Train

Get a train to Polegate Station (catch an Eastbourne train from London Victoria or Brighton/Lewes). You can book a Taxi to the site from the station.

Arrival Notice

As you turn off Horebeech lane onto the track toward the Sacred Earth car park please keep your speed to a minimum as part of this track is a bridal way that is used by horse riders. We also want to maintain good relations with the families that adjoin the site. Thank you.

Horebeech Lane Directions

  1. The turning to the Sacred Earth Site is situated 1.5 miles down Horebeech lane
  2. After driving for 1.5 miles the road bears right, as you pass Cowden Hall lane on your left
  3. Almost immediately after you bear right you need to turn right onto a track which is on the next corner. If you miss this small turning you will bear left again and continue on Horebeech lane in the wrong direction.
  4. You will drive very slowly down the track as you pass a few houses on your right
  5. You will continue through a metal gate (if closed please ring your course organiser)
  6. After 30 metres turn right through another gate into the small Sacred Earth parking area
