Emerging Futures for Young People – Leadership, Vision & Purpose
Disconnection from ourselves, other people and nature is contributing to the fragmentation of meaningful community structures. This is leading many into a massive mental and spiritual health crisis in the global north and increasing inequality, injustice and environmental destruction in the global south. However we are now at a forked trail – one path leading down a hole of further suffering and disconnection, the other through a portal, a threshold of enhanced awareness, energy vibration and an authentic true path that is yours to claim.

At Sacred Earth we want to do  something about this and we’re starting from the ground up. The cultural anthropologist Margaret Mead said: “Never doubt that a small group of people can change the world. It’s the only thing that ever does.”
So all our courses are focused on building this vital life connection. And they are supported by our years of experience and training in outdoor education, shamanic journeying, permaculture and the nature-mentoring wisdom of Jon Young.

A four-day/three-night immersive experience for young people ready to step into deeper leadership, clarity and connection.

Emerging Futures offers a powerful space to pause, reflect and re-orient in a rapidly changing world. Through emerging visionary strategies and design, alongside nature-based practices, intergenerational mentoring, group process and creative exploration, participants will reconnect to their inner vision, strengthen their inner compass, and explore what authentic leadership means now.

This gathering supports young adults to:
• Clarify purpose and direction
• Build confidence and conscious leadership skills
• Develop enhanced social resilience and deep emotional awareness
• Experience meaningful connection to land and community
• Experience advanced connection practices

Introduction to The Renewal of The Creative Path
Experience superlative emerging culture tools and techniques for advanced living
Becoming consciously competent in advanced connection and mentoring support
Experience the art of harnessing latent sensory abilities

Held on the beautiful Sacred Earth Community Benefit Society land in Sussex, the programme includes guided sessions, intergenerational learning forum, mentoring circles, and shared learning in a supportive environment.

Some explanation of the terms we use:
  • Deep nature immersion – our wellbeing is intrinsically linked to our relationship with the natural world around us. Our sense of connection to and knowledge of a place can guide us to a deeper sense of self and others.
  • Village building – community building, restoring the cultural and social group dynamics that would have existed in the past. Economic and industrial development has led to a decrease in social connection between various groups of people in our society.
  • Earth Stewardship – developing a connection to your inner sense of place, belonging and purpose which is intrinsically linked to social regeneration.
  • Cultural repair and regeneration on behalf of all of life  – restoring the attributes of connection.
