Over the Autumn months things the land has seen a variety of small events with both Sacred Fire and Vision quests, our Michael Hall school visit and camp and the community Autumn Equinox Gathering. Alongside this the land team that includes Emile the farmer, Charlie the apprentice and myself have been slowly whittling away at all those unseen jobs that keep the land tended, including creating, clearing and preparing the new area site for our proposed nissan hut storage facility, a tractor has been purchased, serviced and soon to be ready for action. Our Activated Charcoal and Bio-Char products have been processed and been placed in appropriate containers for our winter sale season, which are starting to trickle out.

Now the land is quiet and recovering from this years human footprints, we managed to stir and apply our Biodynamic preparation, Horn Manure onto the main areas of both fields and community use. All of our fencing is virtually complete and gates in position, with only one more field to do. I am also in process of ordering our next stage orchard and forest garden selection of edible fruits, trees and shrubs in readiness for winter buy topiramate from uk planting.

Our final duties this year will be completing our planning submission, fencing Alder Field, and then turning our minds to the woodland aims in production of Charcoal, woodland management of various areas on site, that include coppicing two areas, wood stores to be replenished for seasoning and bringing our Conservation Aims forward onsite to ensure we maintain our ecological and environmental richness. Alongside us we still host volunteer days on Thursdays and our small Farm Buddies group comes for four hours on Fridays to engage with nature connection, conservation and other land associated projects. Our most recent one saw us foraging for rosehips (for syrup), and acorns (for pig feeding frenzy), finishing off with some exploration of sensory skills, fire by friction and a great game of Eagle Eye. One student Johnny after lunch choose to utilise his painting skills and paint the ducks on the lake after lunch, rather than join in, which was more supportive to his needs. We are looking forward to our endeavours throughout the Autumn and Winter months bringing new conservation aspects into the site.. watch this space.
