Learn new skills, meet new people and improve your wellbeing by volunteering at Sacred Earth
Come and connect with the beautiful land at Sacred Earth. You’ll learn how to garden using organic, permaculture principles and meet new, like-minded people.
Some of our volunteering tasks include:
- Seed sowing, transplanting, weeding, harvesting and watering in our community veg plot
- Wood collection and woodland management
- Gate painting, fence repair and general maintenance
- Building raised beds, garden design and space planning
- Mulching pathways, plants and beds
- Strimming and cutting back to keep pathways clear
- Pruning, tree care and tree planting
- Creating and maintaining wildlife ponds
- Looking after the chickens.
Join us on Mondays and Wednesdays for at least two hours, with scope for longer sessions with plenty of breaks.
We are all about working in harmony with nature, and you’ll probably get the chance to see lots of interesting wildlife while you’re here. Be prepared for a connective experience!
Contact our volunteer co-ordinator, Fenella Walsh, if you’re interested.
