Autumn Equinox gathering
September 23 @ 10:30 am - 4:00 pmFree
Can you help?
We’re looking for volunteers to help with the set up of this event. Are you available to arrive at 9am and help our team with things like fire lighting and boiling water for tea? Thanks!
Free parking is available at the Hillside Drive car park in Horam. It is a pleasant twenty minute walk south along the Cuckoo Trail from Horam to the site. The walk offers a perfect way to begin decompressing before you arrive. Look out for our sign and new gate on your left, cross the field (be careful on the uneven ground) and follow the path under the trees to the lake where we’ll be starting the day.
Please contact the event organiser (details below) if you have access needs which require you to park closer – we have a few spaces available in our small car park, accessible via Horebeech Lane.
Join us for a simple celebration of the coming of autumn. This will be a relaxed event with a simple Equinox ceremony, games for kids (and grown ups too!), plenty of time to catch up with friends and meet new people and also an opportunity to get involved in some light work. Everyone is welcome. The theme of this event is “Planting for Future Generations”.
As well as being a day of fun and fellowship, this event is also an opportunity to explore what’s possible when a community comes together and as such the day has a clear beginning, middle and an end. For a fully rounded experience we really encourage everyone to arrive at the beginning and stay until the end of the day!
Book your place
After the success of our open day last year (more than 200 people came and went during the day!) we feel it is important to have a good grasp of numbers and so we’ve decided to make booking compulsory for this event.
The event starts promptly at 10.30am. Please feel free to arrive from 10am.
Please bring warm clothing and practical footwear. Hot drinks will be available throughout the day but lunch will not be provided. Please bring a bottle for drinking water and some snacks if you’d like. We think that eating together and sharing food is a really important aspect of being part of a community so please bring something to share for lunch. Please also bring a mug, bowl, plate and cutlery.Book free tickets!
